A Camp For Sportsmen& Families
This is Not, primarily, a fishing camp. It is a vacation resort in the true sense of the word. It is in a magnificent location, and planned to give a service to those seeking something unusually good yet affordable. It has every modern comfort and convenience even though it's in a wilderness setting. The Lodge and cottages have automatic heat and electricity as well a modern water and sewage system.
A Country For Adventure
More and more families are coming to the OUTPOST, there is so much to do. There is a white sand beach, plenty of shallow water for small children and deep water for the experts. There are miles and miles of shoreline on the four home lakes, with something new around every bend. There are colour pictures everywhere. Wildflowers grow in profusion, there are places for shoreline dinners. Trails lead to the high hills, heron rookeries, streams, waterfalls, and to other lakes.
The Chapleau Highway extends north for 150 miles. There are many side roads to lakes, streams, lumber camps and saw mills. There are roads that offer unusual scenery and offer opportunities to see deer, moose, foxes, beaver, otter and other wildlife.
The OUTPOST Lodge is much more than a hotel. It's truly a place for a family vacation, something different, unusual yet with all the comforts.
There is colour everywhere...in the water, the sky, the trees, and the flowers. It is such a pleasant place that one relaxes without any effort.
A Stop on a Road Trip
"Leo, Ron and the crew from FISH TV were at it again, fishing in Ontario's paradise, The Algoma Country. The road trip started out at the Outpost Lodge located in beautiful Mississaugai Valley. A number of things stood out, the food from their own cook book, to the accommodations, to the fantastic walleye and pike fishing. This is a place you have to experience to really appreciate it." - Leo Stakos and Ron James, Fish TV
